ChaoS Cards of the Day 4/1/2013

I missed out quite a lot haven't I? Oh my.. Anyways, Happy 2013! And let's take a look at uh.. some Common Cards from the upcoming 2 Extra Packs! Long Notes at the Bottom for anyone who's confused by E.S's Card of the Day!

[Usage Cost]
You must have 3 or more <Face-down><OS : Eiyuu Senki> Characters in your Area.

[Main Phase Effect]
Reduce 1 Character's Def by 4 until the End of the Battle Phase. If successfully, you're unable to use <The Final Night> any more.

---
Important Notes :
You're only allowed to use <The Final Night> once during the ChaoS round.

Here is something with a almost-similar effect from the recent Trial Deck of Anime-[Little Buster]'s [Essential Things for Baseball] :
Yay! My Punch broke out of the Card Border!
It states that all of Opponent's Characters are dealt 3 Damage and this Card cannot be used again until the End of the Turn.

This means that this Event can be used again next Turn, if it's in your Hand and if the Cost is met. (3 or more Sets in your Area)

A few possible reasons to why Bushiroad decided to set such a constriction on Eiyuu Senki's CotD:

1. Reducing an Opponent's Def is harder to counter, especially to an older Series, compared to Direct Damaging (i.e 'Burning'). What's more, is that 'Anti-Burns' are more common to have in a Deck compared to 'Anti-Reduction'.

2. Salvaging of Events is pretty easy for some series, and one of them is Eiyuu Senki, so if you've a Deck which recycles Events constantly (Like one of my E.S decks, ha!), constantly reducing an Opponent Character's Def every Turn by 4 can be very stressing to the Opponent if he/she doesn't have the right protection.

Not to mention, the Usage Cost of having 3 Face-down Characters is actually very easy to achieve if you're playing Ivan as your Partner!
I be flipping my friends down!
[Main Phase Effect] [Once Per Turn]
(Discard 1 Card from your Hand, and set 1 of your Characters from <Face-up> to <Face-down>)
Deal 2 Damage to all of your Opponent Characters. If you've 3 or more <Face-down> Characters, deal 5 Damage instead.

See something here? : ) Anyways, that's all for today! See you tomorrow!
