Commander Pringles' thoughts:

First things first, as with Feyris from Steins;Gate, I DO NOT LIKE THIS PICTURE AT ALL.

Now that that's out of the way, i can finally proceed to give my thoughts on this partner. This partner's key effect is reminiscent of Feyris' effect. However, aside from differences like stats growth and their in-built draw engine, let's look at the situation in detail. Oh before i start, please keep in mind that '&' is a set-based series so we should expect them to have a lot of sets on the field thus having very buffed up characters.

I believe Tsukasa's deck will hit 10 backyard way faster than Feyris, despite Feyris having an in-built backyard mechanism. Why? Because '&' is a newer series and its likely to have a friend that backyard 3 cards from waiting room when your opponent takes damage. And '&' should have no problem trampling over the opponent. Also, as seen from Eiyuu Senki (which i think does a very good job of sending opponent's cards to backyard), '&' might end up absorbing some of their backyard techniques.

Now let us look at the situation today. In the past where Feyris was very annoying, it was mainly due to the anti-battler restanding every turn, meaning your opponent's biggest attacker is as good as gone. Well, in those days, defense reduction effects were very rare, and burns/facing it down were some of the only few ways we could stop this rubbish from happening. However, now that defense reduction effects are very mainstream, such defensive tactics would be way easier to stop, making Feyris and Tsukasa decks will less annoying than it should be.

However, unlike Feyris, Tsukasa should have the capabilities to play very aggressively. Rushing down on your opponent's field every turn, while having huge friends ready for guarding, and conveniently taking down his field while guarding, in my opinion, would actually be where Tsukasa's real potential is. With the rise of defense reduction partners (Tesla, Tatsuko, Sanya etc), as well as the recent release of 1 deck burn partner per series (Ichigo, Remon, Beethoven etc), defensive decks are being heavily punished right now, so offensive plays are the way to go. When one argues that one can have anti-minus/anti-deck burn/anti-burn sets, one can counter-argue that the opponent can have set removals.

Well guys, this is my two-cents regarding today's partner. Sorry for the long post, but since partners are the key stuffs in ChaOS, i think its only natural that we give more thoughts into each partner. Tomorrow, we'll see more of the new stuffs that '&' will bring to us, and let us all zetsubou as we see our decks get thrashed by new releases.
